It was from his own vulnerability in one of the most difficult times of his life that Mariana Rios found the strength to change everything.

The spontaneous abortion that the actress suffered in 2020 was the kick to create the platform just feel. The idea started as a page on the internet and has become an app, book and a community with 35,000 women who share experiences, doubts and stories about motherhood and the trying journey.

The attempting phase, that is, who is trying to get pregnant, is where Mariana is now. At 39, the actress is resuming the IVF process after a recent disappointment: the remittance of frozen embryos she had with her husband, João Diniz, had to be ruled out.

“Everything I had done in a year and a half was thrown in the trash,” Mariana said in an interview with F5. It has been since 2023 doing the IVF cycle, which involves hormonal injections, egg puncture, then fertilization, freezing and deployment. During the embryo testing process, it was found that none of them were viable.

Despite the thud, the actress says she is the type that “makes lemon a lemonade”. And it attributes part of the platform’s success to its honesty to talk about something that almost no one talks about.

“Few people talk about vulnerabilities, failures. It is usually the opposite, especially today, on social networks, what is on the rise is ostentation. It is rare to see people dividing their weaknesses,” he says. “When it gave me this desire to divide, it was to get a weight off my back.”

Ritual of writing

In addition to interacting daily with women in the community, holding face -to -face events and recording videos telling the ups and downs of their journey, Mariana also writes. And you have enjoyed this ritual more and more. Last month, she relaunched the book “Just Feel” and published the new “Wisdom of Pocket”, with poems and reflections.

Now, he says, he has decided to start over the long and painful Cycle of the FIV – and with the same positivity as before. “I decided to start over, but not being the same person. I needed a time to look inside and see what needed to change. If we want different results, we have to act differently,” he says.

“I started taking care of things I wasn’t taking care of, like food. The vitamins, which I never got right, for the first time I started taking it.

Best of Worlds

Mariana is discreet about the relationship with João Diniz, with whom she took over in October 2023. Today, they live together and face side by side the journey with FIV.

“Having a person by your side understanding these changes makes everything easier. This path needs to be both as a couple, unless the person is planning a solo pregnancy. It’s a delicate process that requires emotional maturity,” she says. “But of course this is the best of worlds. I get a lot of reports from women who, even married, feel alone on this journey.”

Recently, the actress revealed that she discovered a genetic incompatibility between her and her husband, which may be behind the difficulty of getting viable embryos. But she sees this as a solution, not as a problem.

This factor makes it difficult, but does not make pregnancy unfeasible, explains the actress. And early discovery can bring clues that will help doctors successfully proceed in the next cycle.

Optimism, positivity and learning are words that the actress never leaves, even in difficult days. “There are several ways we can tell our story. It can be sad or can be beautiful, learning,” he says. “That’s so cool. How many difficulties do we spend in life and don’t try to learn from them?”
