After a 6-year absence from the discography, Adele returns on November 19 with her new album. On the occasion of her long-awaited return, the singer sat across from the Winifrey Opera House for a revealing, full-fledged interview. Between her previous album and the new one, Adele divorced her husband, Simon Konecki, after two years of marriage and seven years of relationship, and began a new relationship with sports agent Rich Paul.

During the interview she talked about the great weight loss, her childhood memories, her new relationship and, of course, her new record step.

1. Her new songs

When the well-known presenter mentioned an old statement of the singer, that she is not ashamed that she collapsed emotionally, she replied that she managed to move forward because of the music. However, she later revealed that during the creation of the new album, ” 30 ”, there were moments when she felt insecure about her new songs.

“There were times when I was writing this record or listening to it again, thinking ‘this can be a little personal, it can be more for me’ but nothing is as scary as what I spent the last two – three years behind closed doors. That is why I am not afraid of what people may or may not know, “he said. During the concert that accompanied the interview, Adele sang three new songs and her new single “Easy On Me”.

2. Its relationship with alcohol

After her divorce she decided to stop drinking and describes it as a great way to get to know yourself. Her relationship with alcohol is complicated, mainly because thanks to it she lost her father, in May 2021.

“In the beginning, I probably kept the alcohol industry alive. “But when I realized I was doing work with myself, I stopped and started exercising to stay focused,” he said.

3. Her divorce

“I remember my friends and I were sitting and answering questions from a magazine. One of them said ‘What is something that no one would ever know about you?’ and I remember saying that, in front of my three friends I said ‘I’m not happy. I do not live, I just move on ” ‘and then he added with a verse from a new song that says” I want to live, not just to survive ”, he noted.

“I felt this, but I only realized it when I told it to my friends who thought I was happy,” the famous singer added.

4. Weight loss

For the past two years the headlines have focused on the big change in her body. But the truth is that this happened because of stress.

“I had the most frightening anxiety attacks when I divorced. They paralyzed me completely and confused me so much that I could not control my body. “But I understood what was happening because I was there but my body was as if it were on another planet,” she said, adding that exercising with her trainer helped her to be disciplined and feel safe whenever she felt lost.

5. Her father first heard her songs before his death

Shortly before she passed away, her father revealed to her that he had never heard anything she sang other than “Hometown Glory” – one of her first songs – which she wrote when she was 16.

“I forced him to listen and we both cried. She understood my childhood wounds through my songs and it was amazing for me “she said and added that she made him listen to her first three albums.
