Alejandro Sanz is accused of abuse and interview ends up in live expulsion

One of the greatest idols of Spanish music, Alejandro Sanz, 56, is being accused by a fan of sexual violence. Last week, the influencer Ivet Playà, 25, used social networks to detail a relationship that, he said, lasted seven years and was marked by abuses committed by the singer.

Invited to participate in Telecinco’s Viernes Program, on Friday (20), after the subject gains repercussion in Spain, Ivet was expelled from the attraction for presenters Santi Acosta and Beatriz Archidona by calling Sanz “emotional manipulator”, “dangerous” and “sexual depravator”. The presenters then requested proof of the accusations made by the former rhythmic lady, who were considered by them as “weak”. Ivet reacted with indignation, accusing journalists of bias and being defending the singer: “You don’t want to understand.”

Beatriz Archidona questioned whether sex had been consensual and if Ivet was of older when she got involved with the interpreter of the success “Corazón Party.” The influencer answered the two questions affirmatively and said that Sanz had suggested, but not forced, to have relations with one more person. Archidona then stressed that, given the gravity of the accusations, she should present more blunt evidence: “We have not understood so far which damage you have suffered in this relationship to report it.”

Ivet said he was accused of blackmail by Alejandro Sanz – according to her, the singer claimed that he would have asked for money not to reveal the relationship between the two. The influencer denied the accusation and added that other women would also have experienced situations similar to hers.

Faced with the interview climbing, the presenters decided to close it. “It’s over, enough. We’re not going to go,” said Santi Acosta. “We are not judges. We try to do an interview to understand you, but we are dealing with issues that should not be discussed in a television studio, but in a court.”

Beatriz Archidona concluded: “We try to understand you, but it is very difficult with such ambiguity. And if we are going to talk about ethics and morals, reflect if what you are doing is ethical,” he said, ending the guest’s participation and practically expelling her from the studios.

So far, Alejandro Sanz has not commented on the controversy.
