Greatest Hits Radio will celebrate its 40th anniversary ‘Live Aid’with a 10 -hour special show that will revive the legendary 1985 concert. It will be broadcast at noon on July 13, with listeners having the opportunity to relive all emblematic moments from the historic Wembley in London.

Hosted by British radio veteran and author, Simon Mayo, the unique “Live Aid Relived” tribute will include the authentic interpretations of Queen, David Bowie, Who and Paul McCartney, among others.

It is noted that Live Aid was organized by musicians Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise money for Ethiopia. Martin Kemp, a member of the Spandau Ballet who participated in the concert, will share his experience, while the cast of the upcoming musical “Just for One Day” will add his own perspective.

At the heart of the tribute will be the mythical 21 -minute appearance of Queen, which has been described as one of the most important in rock history thanks to Freddie Mercury’s legendary presence and the band’s unique ability to unite the audience with his songs. In addition, the show will host David Bowl’s unforgettable set, including a moving interpretation of “Heron”, which he himself dedicated to children around the world.

The concert garnered more than £ 114 million and turned the people’s attention to terrible food shortages in Ethiopia.

“I thank the Greatest Hits Radio who will give listeners the opportunity to realize that they are not powerless in front of human atrocity. There is no better time to perceive the power of music and what can succeed »said Bob Geldof, co -founder of Band Aid Charitable Trust.

According to the Guardian, the special show will end with the latest episode of “Live Aid: 40 Years on”, a series of documentaries, interviewed by Geldof, Midge Ure, Roger Taylor, Brian May and Harvey Goldsmith.
