The City of Rio de Janeiro hired, without bidding, the company Roxy Entertainment Ltda to hold the official meeting of the Ministers of Economics of the BRICS countries. The amount intended for the event is R $ 699,400, according to documents obtained by F5.

The event will be held at the Roxy Dinner Show, House of Shows in Copacabana, South Zone of Rio, known for the luxury and great performances aimed at the city’s tourists.

The hiring was authorized in an order of the City Hall dated 24 June 2025. The justification is the holding of an official event of the BRICS International Agenda-a boco that brings together Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. The concert hall was chosen to host the reception of the economic authorities of the member countries. The BRICS Summit takes place on July 6 and 7, Sunday and Monday, respectively.

Founded by Alexandre Accioly and Dody Sirena, the Roxy Dinner Show has consolidated itself as one of the most sophisticated spaces of Rio. In March, it was appointed by the American magazine Time as one of the best places in the world to visit in 2025.

Accioly, 61, is a carioca entrepreneur known for his involvement in the entertainment sector and founder of the Bodytech Academies Network, one of the largest in the country. Sirena, 64, in turn, is a traditional figure in the artistic business community and has managed careers of names like Roberto Carlos.

In addition to the public funds for the city, the house also has a millionaire sponsorship of Caixa Econômica Federal. In October 2024, the state institution signed a contract of $ 5 million to support the Roxy Dinner Show project. The agreement, effective until July 2026, was entered into through the National Centralizer of Hiring (CECOT) and published in the Federal Official Gazette on 21 October last year.

Caixa resources aim to encourage cultural and artistic projects. The sponsorship, added to hiring for the BRICS event, totals R $ 5.7 million in public contributions linked to the private space.

THE F5 contacted Rio de Janeiro’s City Hall by email and WhatsApp messages, but there was no response until the last update of this text. Roxy Entertainment, on the other hand, told the report through its press office that it is not allowed to disclose values applied to sponsorship and contracted events.
