Singer and songwriter, with hits recorded by names like Zé Felipe and Simone and Simaria, Vitoria Telles, 29, had to take a break from her work to adapt her life to a professional soccer athlete. This was the option of the Dourados influencer (MS) when starting to relate to Botafogo’s defender Alex Telles, 32. Today, five years and two children later, she says she does not regret the choice.
“I love to travel. All this time, we live in many places: England, Spain, Saudi Arabia and now Rio de Janeiro. I have been dedicating myself to other projects to reconcile the influence of influencer with the life of a housewife, the mother of a two -year -old girl and a five -month -old boy.” She says she really doesn’t have to complain. “I love this life,” she says.
In an interview with F5she details what it is like to be the rear of a player from an important team in the country, talks about how she deals with frustrations and the fact that she can’t “create roots.” Check out the best excerpts from the conversation below.
TRIPS – The influencer says she met Alex through social networks. A video of her singing backcountry popped into the star’s timeline, and soon the two started talking. At the time, he acted in England, Manchester United. The passion took her straight to the country, where they started to live.
“I moved there. Then we went to live in Seville, Spain [ele jogou no Sevilha]in Saudi Arabia [Alex vestiu a camisa do Al-Nassr] And now in Rio. I usually see these wanderings as opportunities to know new cultures, languages. I consider myself blessed. Now we are closer to family and friends, “he says.
Judgment – Vitoria says “there are always some haters who say what they want,” but she doesn’t care. “The player is nicked, and a lot of people have this conversation that a woman is self-interested, Maria-Put, but I don’t take it to the heart. We built our family. I’ve recorded songs, I had songs on YouTube, Spotify, and chose to dedicate myself to him. Maybe in the future I get back to this craft.”
Difficult times – The singer and influencer jokes that, in addition to the professions she has, she also exercises psychology at home, especially after frustrating moments of her husband in the sport. An example was Botafogo’s elimination at the FIFA World Cup in the defeat of Alvinegro to Palmeiras.
“I often say that I go to the more nervous game than him, who will play. Is that I don’t know how it will be emotionally after the match. Although Alex has been doing therapy for ten years, he is sad about the defeats. And I’m there to be the support,” he says.
Another moment Vitoria had an important performance was when Alex was seriously injured and was cut in the middle of the 2022 World Cup. He had to have knee surgery. “He had to do physical therapy, not training and at that time my support was essential because he was in a state of denial. I am with him 24 hours. When he gets very stressed, I leave him in his time,” he explains.
REAR – Vitoria likes to say that while her husband plays in the fields, she acts outside of him, despite trying to see him on the field in every possible match.
“My role as a wife is to be on the side. When we need to move, it’s me who organizes things in the new home, travel, because his life doesn’t stop and I need to be the rear. My role is to manage everything we build together, our investments,” he says.
The frequent changes are part of those who marry a professional player. “I read very well with them, but they are difficult. We do not create root anywhere, do not make much friendship, because we soon need to leave the city or the country,” he says. “A lot of people think we live only in luxury and not quite. There is a lot to solve.”
Friendship with other athletes’ wives – Social networks help in this interaction. And that’s what she does and other athlete’s wives, the so -called WAGs (acronym in “Wives and Girlfriends of Sport Stars”, in Portuguese, “women and girlfriends of sports stars”). Vitoria says there is a group of WhatsApp named Botafogo 2025 with her and 14 more women of athletes from the professional team. This is how they all communicate, share tips and create ties.
“I always got along with all the wives of players I met, we exchange figurine, ask questions, post updates, words of comfort and tips on the city, especially to women of Botafogo Argentine players. Unfortunately, we have not been able to meet personally, but the mood is pretty cool.”
She says that in England in 2021 she could find herself more assiduous with Natália, wife of Alisson, goalkeeper Liverpool and the Brazilian team. “We did Bible studies. It was a way for us to feel less alone and connect.”
Vitoria states that whenever a new athlete is hired, his wife is placed in the Botafogo group to fit in. And there is no rivalry. Although the group is intended for Botafoguenses wives, she says she maintains contact with other companions of players from other teams. One of them is Andreza, wife of Flamengo striker Michael.
Children’s Support Network – Vitoria and Alex Telles are parents of Antonella, two and a half years old, and Ale, five months old. Because of all this routine, it is important to have a support network. And Vitoria has. “My children are still babies, but I have the help of a nanny that I take with me to all countries. They are not yet in school, but the strategy I will use is to put them in American or British school, because there is headquarters anywhere. So they can communicate and resume studies if we need to change again.”
