‘Brazil cries your loss,’ says Anitta about Preta Gil’s death

Anitta lamented, early in the morning of Monday (21), the death of singer Preta Gil, at 50.

“May God and the orishas receive Preta Gil with open arms. Brazil cries their loss,” he wrote on Instagram

Other artists used the networks for the farewell and some of them told stories that lived with Gilberto Gil’s daughter.

The singer Mariana Belém recalled that Preta welcomed her when she lost her brother, Rafael Mascarenhas, run over the moment she was skateboarding in a tunnel in Gávea, south of Rio de Janeiro.

The death of the 18 -year -old turned 15 on Sunday, the same day that Gilberto Gil’s daughter died after attempts to treat colorectal cancer.

“Fifteen years ago my brother left and today who leaves is one of the people who welcomed me, without knowing me so well, the black,” said Mariana. “She also lost a young brother like mine and welcomed me in the same pain.”

Pedro Gil, one of Gilberto Gil’s eight children, died at the age of 19 in a car accident in 1990.

“I never forgot how important she was in my mourning. And she starts too early,” lamented Mariana, daughter of singer Fafá de Belém with musician Raul Mascarenhas.

Doctor Thales Bretas, widower of Paulo Gustavo, also said that the singer was next to her family in difficult times.

“I will never forget the brave, generous and friendly woman you went,” he wrote.

Jam Netto reported that the artist was with him at various remarkable moments, including his grandfather’s wake, singer Jamelão.

Regina Casé said she was unable to sleep, but also with difficulty staying awake after her friend’s death.

“Maybe tomorrow I can talk about my black. Now I just want to cry,” he said.
