Black Li, 45, reaches a new chapter of his career with the tour The Silence that Screams, which opens this Saturday (26), in São Paulo. More than going to the stage, she reveals to be involved in all the creative and strategic decisions of the tour – algo that, she says, is the result of years of learning. “Today I can make decisions more clearly. I deserve it, and my audience too.”
The singer, songwriter and portrait of female rap says she is excited to introduce her first tour to fans. “I’ve been seeking this my whole life. This autonomy, this freedom,” he says F5. The presentation will be at Casa Natura Musical.
According to the artist, the show will propose an immersion of topics such as empowerment, identity, ancestry, self -love and overcoming. With repertoire of her own, the artist promises to mix rap, R&B, pop and Afro-Brazilian rhythms. Tracks such as “Black Money” and “Fake”, besides the classics “You will be in mine”, “It’s not serious” and the theme of the soap opera “Vai na Fé”, are part of the setlist of the night.
Black Li states that his songs are not just about those who already recognize themselves in them – they have a clear goal. “I make music for blacks because I want to empower them. And I talk to whites because I want to inform them, educate them, show how we think, who we are, what our reality.”
She also recognizes the social role she carries as a black and popular artist. “I feel prepared to be in this place and exceed expectations, always keeping me current and active.”
The singer has already received several criticisms for leaving the traditional rap scene and circulating on television or other industry languages. But he never saw a problem with it. On the contrary. “I consider I made smart choices. When I see myself as a product, I think, ‘I need to publicize this product to all the showcases to be consumed.’ So what I can do to spread my message, I’ll do it.”
If today lives a more stable moment and with a tour ahead, it does not fail to recognize that the walk has required resilience. “It’s a good anxiety, you know? A desire to live this moment because it was planted with a lot of effort.”
