“Athens Kallithea FC announces the acquisition of center -back Cosma Gazou, 32, with a free transfer after completing his collaboration with Austria Klagenfurt.
Born in Athens, Gezos was nominated by the Panionios Academy and made his Super League debut with the team at the age of 19, April 2012.
After two loans in the second division with Acharnaikos and Glyfada, Gezos returned to Panionios and recorded nine Super League appearances in the 2014/15 season.
Gezos made a step abroad in April 2014 on behalf of Swedish Akropolis IF, where he recorded 56 appearances with four goals in three seasons.
In February 2019, Gezos joined Austria Klagenfurt, and was quickly established as a key to the team. In the 2020/21 season, Gezos recorded 28 league appearances and scored five goals, contributing to Klagenfurt’s historic first rise in Austrian Bundesliga, a category he remained in the next four years.
Gezos recorded a total of 167 appearances with Klagenfurt, scoring 18 goals and six assists in seven seasons, including 20 appearances with one goal in last year’s Austrian Bundesliga.
