Mikis Theodorakis, Cretan in origin, was born on July 29, 1925 in Chios. First son of George Theodorakis and Aspasia Poulakis. It composes dozens of circles of songs that find a profound appeal within the Greek people. It establishes the small Athens Symphony Orchestra and gives many concerts throughout Greece, trying to familiarize the world with the masterpieces of symphonic music.
