Singer Jessie J, 37, announced in a post on Instagram Stories on Friday (8), that she will undergo another surgery later this year. Despite health challenges, the pop star reaffirmed that it will not leave the obstacles to slaughter. “I didn’t leave a big label after 18 years to be afraid to rewrite the rules to fit my life and health, making them realistic about what I can deliver in all the roles of my life.”
Sky’s mother, 2, the singer said she was diagnosed with breast cancer in June. It underwent mastectomy and reconstruction surgery, and is still recovering. She then listed her appointments with optimism: “Another surgery this year. I can. Create a small child. I can. Release new songs. I can.”
Jessie acknowledges that the path will be different from planned, but reinforces the need for adaptation. “That’s how life is, things change and either we panic because it’s not as we should, or we adapt. I’m just following the flow of life and giving my best,” he said. “Adult life is made of layers, has ups and downs, and we just need to keep living in all this. So here I am living,” he added.
The singer did not detail what will be the next medical procedure. Last Monday (4), Jessie J updated fans about her health after being hastily hospitalized for an infection and liquid accumulation in the lungs. “My symptoms are the same and I still don’t know what’s wrong. But my sarcasm and sense of humor are still firm,” he said.
Jessie J is confirmed as one of the attractions of the The Town festival, which will be held from September 6 to 14 at the Interlagos Race Track in São Paulo.
