Claudia Ohana, 62, shared on social networks, on Tuesday (26), a video in which she appears making a protest in celebration of female equality day. The actress came up wearing high heels and carrying a cardboard poster with a clear message: “Women’s Equality Day.”
As the poster turned the other side, one could read the question, “What equality?” Claudia, who still has her Playboy as one of the most remembered in the history of the magazine, highlighted the message as she walked the streets, conveying her position directly.
In the caption of the publication, she reinforced the importance of the struggle for women’s rights: “We want respect. We want equality and equity! Today, on the day of female equality, we remember that our voice was not a gift, it was achievement.”
The actress also historically contextualized the female struggle for the right to vote: “In the United States, the 19th Amendment of 1920 paved the way for female vote. In Brazil, only in 1932 we had this right, still with restrictions. In 1934, all women could vote.”
Claudia Ohana has completed her message by noting that equality goes far beyond the ballot boxes: “But equality is not limited to the polls. She is in life, work, in politics, in the streets. We continue firm: we do not give up respect, rights and opportunities.”
