Ex-boyfriend reacts to the engagement of Taylor Swift with Travis Kelce: ‘I’m in shock’

Taylor Swift’s engagement announcement, 35, and football player Travis Kelce, 34, continues to reverberate on social networks. According to data released by the Instagram controller, the publication that officialized the marriage proposal reached the mark of one million reposts in just one hour and exceeded 14 million likes in the same period.

Among the numerous reactions, he drew attention to Taylor Lautner, the singer’s ex-boyfriend. A star of the Twilight Saga, he made a point of congratulating the couple and celebrated the news. “This is crazy. I can’t believe this is really happening. I’m in shock. Happy,” said the actor.

Swift and Lautner lived a brief romance in 2009 when they met behind the scenes of the movie Valentine’s Day.

Despite the end of the relationship over a decade ago, Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner have preserved friendship over the years – so much so that the actor has participated in the singer’s video “I Can See You” from the album “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)”. In a recent participation in the Podcast New Heights, led by the groom and brother -in -law Jason Kelce, she remembered how the story began. “This podcast earned me a boyfriend since Travis decided to use it as his personal dating app about two years ago,” he said.

The singer explained that Kelce tried to deliver her phone number creatively: she wrote it in a “Friendship Bracelet”, a popular accessory among fans of The Eras Tour. The player, however, failed to deliver the memory during the show in July 2023. Later, commenting on the episode in the podcast, eventually aroused Swift’s curiosity – and so the romance was born.
