The legendary actress Kurt Russell joined the cast of Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming series, “The Madison”. The spin-off of “Yellowstone” initially announced under the title “2024” is described as a “moving study of mourning and human connection”, following a family from New York that moves to the Madison River valley in Central Montana.

The veteran actor joins a group of famous protagonists who, as already announced, are: Michelle Fiffer, Patrick J. Adams, El Chapman, Matthew Fox, Bo Garet, Amia Miller, Ben Schnetser, Rebecca Spens, Daniel Vassinova and Kevin Zegers.

The exact details of the characters remain secret, but according to sources cited by Variety, the famous actress will play her husband of Fiffer.

This will only be the second major role that Russell has in recent years on the small screen, after joining the Apple TV+series, “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” where he starred with his son, White. He has also lent his voice to Marvel’s cartoon series, “What if …?”

It is noted that the star has devoted his career almost exclusively to cinema since the 1970s and has received a nomination for Emmy in 1979 for his lead role in Elvis. He is also known for his collaborations with Quentin Tarantino, in: “The Hateful Eight”, “Once Upon a Time … in Hollywood” and “Death Proof”.

In the series it will also have a role of executive producer as well as Fiffer with Sheridan through Bosque Ranch Productions. Production is done by Paramount Television Studios (formerly MTV Entertainment Studios) and 101 Studios, in collaboration with Bosque Ranch.
