The British Museum is preparing to establish its own spectacular annual event to the standards of the renowned Met Gala of New York, which attracts worldwide personalities and raises huge sums of money.

The first event is scheduled for the October 18with invitations already sent internationally. The Museum’s aim is to dance to a celebration of art and culture and to highlight London’s position as one of the world’s leading cultural capitals.

The event is being prepared in collaboration with luxury houses and will coincide with the International Art Fair Frieze. Helen Broccarbank, Managing Director of Walpole, a body representing 250 luxury chips and participates in the Organizing Committee, gave the mark of the venture on social media: “Think of Met Gala’s ambition with the uniqueness of the United Kingdom.”

New York’s Met Gala has been recognized as the ‘Bigger night of the fashion world’, with magazine Vogue to play a decisive role in configuration of subject each year.
