Brass Against apologized on social media after Sophia Urista, 3, lead singer of the band, surprised everyone by urinating in the face of a fan on stage during a concert at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona, Florida.
According to the New York Post, Sophia was in the middle of a performance at the Welcome to Rockville festival on Nov. 11 when she told the crowd that she needed to relieve herself. “I need to pee and I can’t go to the bathroom. So we can also put on a show with that,” said the vocalist.
Sophia asked if anyone in the audience wanted her to pee in her mouth and several fans said yes with a laugh because they believed it was a joke. She took one of the fans from the audience onto the stage and asked him to lie down.
The band’s vocalist crouched down, dropped her pants and urinated in the fan’s face as she continued to sing a rendition of Rage Against the Machine’s “Wake Up.”
Daytona Beach Police Spokesperson Messod Bendayan said authorities had received a complaint on the department’s Facebook account about the urinary violation – and instructed the person to file a complaint.
“I received [a denúncia] and she said to file a report and she did,” Bendayan said, noting that the criminal investigations division is still investigating the incident. He said indecent exposure is punishable by up to one year in prison or a $1,000 fine. $5,476).
