One hundred years since his birth Manou Hadjidaki its culture station French Public Radio (France Culture- Radio France) honors the memory of the great Greek composer with a great tribute, creating a special page with the archival biographical documentary “A life, a work: Manos Hatzidakis” by Giorgos Archimandrites.

According to a related announcement, “this French radio documentary is a highly aesthetic portraiture of Manos Hadjidakis, which follows the main axes of his life and work, through testimonies of great personalities who knew him and worked with him.

THE Maurice Béjart talks about his collaboration with Manos Hadjidakis, about the Birds of Aristophanes, the Ballads of Odos Athena, as well as about his friendship with the great composer who, with his talent and sensitivity, made him love Greece passionately.

OR Nana Moushuriin one of the most profound confessions, tells about how Hadjidakis discovered her, as well as about the deep friendship that united her with the composer and the poet Nikos Gatso, whose songs she sang with unique talent and sensitivity.

OR Nena Venetsanou talks about the contribution of Manos Hadjidakis to the creation of art song, about his works that marked Greek music, theater and cinema, about his relations with Mikis Theodorakis, about his tenure in the Third Program, and about the deeply human aspects of the composer’s personality.
