Simon Cowell says wedding date ‘will be a surprise’ even for bride

British music producer Simon Cowell, 62, said he is planning everything for his wedding to Lauren Silverman, 44, and that even the bride herself does not know when the ceremony will take place. “Nobody knows,” he said. “It will be a surprise, even for Lauren.”

Cowell and Silverman have been together since 2013. They are parents to 8-year-old Eric, and got engaged in January of this year. At the time, a source told Page Six that he proposed to Lauren during a recent family trip to Barbados, where she has a home.

The couple met in 2004, when Lauren was still married to real estate mogul Andrew Silverman, 45, a good friend of Cowell’s. After 10 years of marriage, the Silvermans finalized their divorce in 2013 — the same year Lauren and Cowell made their relationship public.
