A comment made by Gustavo in a chat with Paulo André and Pedro Scooby on Big Brother Brasil 22 (Globo) has caused a lot of controversy on social networks. He made a comparison of his attitude with another of the Nazi leader Adolf Hitler and the speech did not go well either inside or outside the confinement.
The moment he says he wanted to sleep in the Lollipop room and that there aren’t many members of that room left in the game, he made the comparison. “When Hitler took over Paris, didn’t he sleep in Paris?” he asked to PA’s astonishment “What madness, what a comparison!”
Gustavo apologized, but concluded his reasoning. “Sorry. I didn’t want to compare myself to him, ever. But I mean, when you win wars, don’t you sleep in enemy territory? Put the flag there?”, he amended.
The name of the Paraná native became one of the most talked about topics on social networks. Most comments about him disapproved of the lines. “My father. Gustavo totally clueless has just compared himself to Hitler,” wrote one.
“Tonight Gustavo compared himself to Hitler when he took Lollipop! This is barbaric! We can’t admit that”, posted another follower. “Why is no one saying anything about Gustavo? The guy wanted to make an action based on Hitler”, asked another. The competitor’s social media team did not respond.
