The couple Luisa Arraes and Caio Blat called on celebrities to help in the search for the gray kitten Buriti that got lost in the Jardim Botânico neighborhood, in Rio. Both are already pasting posters on poles in the street and even offering rewards for any clue.
“Our kitten Buriti is missing in Jardim Botânico, Rio de Janeiro. She has a collar with a telephone. We are devastated”, published Caio with a photo of the animal.
His ex-wife and friend of Luisa, actress Maria Ribeiro decided to help support and also made a publication. “Hello, Jardim Botânico! We are looking for a gray cat named Buriti. She wears a collar with the phone number of her owner, my comadre Luisa Arraes, who is offering reward and eternal gratitude,” she wrote.
In addition to her, other celebrities have shared and helped in what they can, such as actress Letícia Sabatella. “May you find the little one,” she cheers. “It will work”, wrote Dadá Coelho. “Wow! Passing it on! You’ll find it, it’ll come back”, said Bárbara Paz.
Luisa also turned to the networks to say thank you. “Thank you to everyone who is sharing, writing to me, helping practically or psychologically. Look, I love helping, I’m a friend of perrengue, but receiving all this in return when we need it is really an extraordinary thing. It’s making me believe in humanity , in the bonds. We still don’t know if she will come back, but we are doing absolutely everything possible.”
The kitten is famous and showed up in the latest episode of the series “Amor e Sorte” (Globo, 2020), recorded by the couple during the pandemic directly from their home.
At the time, they said that recording even helped their relationship. “Making a series at home is a very radical experience. We learned to decide everything together, giving each other’s guesses. We learned to have this exchange. After the daily DRs, we would come to an agreement. Every day was a progress in the one-month relationship”, says Luisa.
According to Blat, as much as there was some stress, everything was resolved. And the result was one of the coolest and most challenging jobs they’ve both done. “We stayed together for a day, we started to fight over everything. Then we each went to their own house and then went back to normal. We will always be partners.”
