The singer Belo had a double celebration this Friday (22) at the Anhembi Sambadrome, in São Paulo. He turned 47 years old and was able to return to Carnival after two years, due to the Covid pandemic.

Belo, who was one of the attractions of Camarote Bar Brahma, spoke of the joy of returning to the revelry, of being able to meet friends and to see himself at a time with less risk of contagion by the coronavirus.

“We were away for two years. I think the entertainment, music and art sector was very affected and the least watched [durante a pandemia]. We had no support from anyone,” he said.

The singer, who completes 35 years of career, says that the return of Carnival is an important moment not only for him and for music. “It is an important moment for the samba schools, for the people of the community”.

Born in São Paulo and living in Rio for 20 years, Belo recalled the time he attended Carnival in the capital.

“I am a child here, I saw this sambadrome being built. I paraded in Tiradentes. I have such a beautiful history with the people of São Paulo”, he said.
