Actress and presenter Tatá Werneck, 38, withdrew from participating in the São Clemente tribute to Paulo Gustavo at Marquês de Sapucaí, in Rio, on the first night of Carnival parades.
The information was confirmed by the artist’s press office. In a statement, she says that she tried to participate, but that for various reasons she could not.
“Unfortunately, things don’t always go as planned. I’m sure Paulo saw my effort. São Clemente paid a beautiful tribute and that’s what matters”, says another excerpt from the note.
Through social networks, many people were surprised that Tatá was not seen in Sapucaí. A video that circulates on the internet shows a conversation that would be between Ingrid Guimarães and Tatá. By lip reading, it is possible to notice her saying “Have you come this far”, “Take off your heels, Tatá” and “are you in the car?”.
Other images that circulate show her inside the car arriving at the scene, but this information was neither confirmed nor denied by the advisory.
Even before the parade started, Tatá had already informed on Twitter that this leaving home would be very difficult for her. Since the death of Paulo Gustavo, in May 2021, due to complications from Covid-19, she has avoided leaving her residence for reasons other than work.
“I’m going with my mask and I’m going to take it off only at the time of the parade. I confess that I’m very nervous. But if I didn’t have it in this tribute I would regret it a lot. I apologize in advance if anyone finds me unsympathetic”, she wrote.
In response to comments from people on the internet, she already hinted that the reason for a possible absence could be the fact that her young daughter, Clara Maria, aged two and a half, has not yet been vaccinated.
