Five-months pregnant, singer Paloma Santos, known as MC Loma, 19, countered on social media the criticism she has received regarding the name she chose for the baby: Melanie.
“There are a lot of people saying that [o nome] it’s ugly, but as the daughter is mine, it’s going to come out of me, I’m fine. I have to like it. If you don’t like it, just don’t put it on your daughter,” she said.
She also says she didn’t like to see that there are already some fake profiles on Instagram dedicated to the girl who wasn’t even born yet. “If they keep doing this I’ll keep it private. If it’s to make a fan club explain it in the bio”, she indicated.
Last Sunday (24), MC Loma made a revelation tea and transmitted the result to his followers. With the help of drag queen Chica Chiketh, who animated the party, the singer called her parents to the stage.
She popped a balloon that revealed pink and blue confetti. Confused, the Pernambucan questioned if they were twins, but Chica said that the result would only be revealed after some games.
At the expected moment, the drag queen made a parody of the hit “Envolvimento”, by MC Loma. “It’s time to reveal to you, will it be a girl or a boy, I want to hear from you,” she sang. “Everyone is anxious for the news to spread, it’s a girl or a boy now I’m going to reveal it.”
At the end of the performance, Chica took off her dress and revealed a model in pink, arousing emotion in the mother-to-be and the guests. “I’m just letting you know that no one is going to date my daughter,” Paloma said into the microphone.
