In yet another chapter of the defamation trial between actress Amber Heard, 36, and actor Johnny Depp, 58, letters proved that the artist’s ex-wife had asked for rewards in exchange for delaying the disclosure of their troubled relationship.

In the documents filed, the actress stated that she would not immediately file a protective order if Depp granted her access to his SUV and three penthouses in downtown Los Angeles, and all at his expense.

The May 24, 2016 letter, released by the New York Post, was signed by Samantha Spector, Heard’s attorney, and showed an agreement to “do everything possible to keep this personal matter out of the media spotlight.”

In the text, the attorney said Heard had demanded “exclusive use and possession of the black Range Rover, the vehicle she is currently driving, with Johnny to continue making all payments” as well as “exclusive use and possession of 849 S. Broadway , Penthouse Nos. 1, 3 and 5 with Johnny continuing to pay mortgage, utilities, etc”.

In addition, the actress also allegedly asked for US$ 100,000 (about R$ 493,000) in legal fees and US$ 25,000 (about R$ 123,000) for “costs of forensic accounts”. The trial of the lawsuit that the actor is bringing against his ex-wife for defamation, began on April 11, in Virginia, in the United States, and is expected to last about six weeks.

The suit is being televised and focuses on a lawsuit the actor has brought against Heard, who wrote an op-ed for the Washington Post in 2018, saying she had become a “public figure representing domestic abuse”.
