Singer Manu Gavassi, 28, was on Friday night (19th) in the front row of Handred’s fashion show, at São Paulo Fashion Week, to honor her boyfriend, model Jullio Reis. They posed for pictures together and exchanged kisses on camera.
“It was very special, I had never seen him in a parade, everything was also [parado] with the pandemic. The fashion show was the most beautiful thing, I was thrilled”, says the singer.
Manu said he won’t be parading for any brand at SPFW because he’s working hard on promoting the new album “Gracinha”. “I managed to get away to come here to watch [ o desfile do namorado].”
The singer says it’s great to see the big events coming back now and safely the way they have to be. But she admits that she still finds this return strange and that she didn’t believe it when she saw the audience at the MTV EMA, an award that celebrates music around the world, which took place this year in Budapest, Hungary.
“There in [MTV] EMA had a super big crowd, I couldn’t believe it when I saw the crowd. I said: ‘that’s how it was before'”, says the singer.
Manu didn’t hide the happiness of having been elected the best Brazilian artist at the MTV EMA (European Music Award), on November 14th. She surpassed Anitta, Ludmilla, Luísa Sonza and Pabllo Vittar, the latter last year’s award winner.
“I’m not even telling you until now I’m pinching myself. Being at that award in the dimension it is and with such sincere work, so true, as handcrafted as this.”
The artist also talked about the November 26 release of the visual album on Disney+, scripted and co-directed by her. The project is a version of the project “Gracinha”, launched on November 12. “It was a very crazy job to have done and, at this moment in life, with this work, to win this award that says a lot.”
