Zélia Duncan, 56, joined the most talked about topics on Twitter this Saturday (30) due to sharing a fake news that she would have scribbled the bible and written: “pode sapatão” and “may fag”. The singer went to the social network to defend herself saying that this is fake news and that she never made light of anyone’s faith.
“Guys, that’s crazy, I’ve never scribbled any bible. A lot of people reposted that, which was on the networks, but you brooded and faked it. [news] with me. I do not make light of any faith, you who use God to threaten others. Isn’t God love? But what a thing,” wrote the singer.
Zélia said she will use the only language that these people who accuse her of having scribbled the bible know understand: justice. “In view of what they are trying to do with lies and threats, we will use the language these people can understand. They will be called into action. Then they cry and cry out for human rights.”
Netizens came out in defense of the singer on Twitter. “What if I had scribbled? Christians have to understand that the Bible is sacred only to them. For people of other religions, it’s just a book like any other. Leave those fanatics alone, Zelia.”
One woman posted a photo of a bible full of notes and commented that if scribbling the bible is disrespectful, she does it in all of her bibles. “If this is disrespect or heresy, then I’m both, my bibles are all scribbled, because I make notes and mark everything that catches my attention. Another netizen responded to a man who made homophobic criticisms of Zélia Duncan saying that “homosexuality is only normal for them” and that “a Christian is not obliged to think it is natural”. “Your retweet of the scribbled Bible saying it was Zélia Ducan who did it is fake [news], ok brother?, wrote the internet user defending the singer.
A woman commented on the social network that she doesn’t understand this story of the singer scribbling the bible. “Zélia Duncan is saying that she didn’t scribble the Bible, or that she didn’t share that image in her stories? I still don’t understand.”

This week, player Neymar, 29, filed a lawsuit against the singer after she called him “a deception as a citizen” and suggested he pay his taxes. The claims were made by her on her social networks in September.
According to the São Paulo Court of Justice, the request alleges that the player was defamated, and his lawyers want a public retraction and more explanation of the reasons that led the singer to doubt the athlete’s honor.
