Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas’ Daughter Leaves Neonatal Intensive Care After 100 Days

The daughter of Nick Jonas, 29, and Priyanka Chopra, 39, left the NICU after spending more than 100 days in the hospital. The couple shared a photo with her this Sunday (8), to celebrate the first Mother’s Day since the baby was born.

“After more than 100 days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home. Every family’s journey is unique and requires a certain level of faith, and while ours has been a challenging few months, what’s clear is how precious and perfect every moment is”, begins the text.

“We are so happy that our little girl is finally home, and we just want to thank all the doctors, nurses and specialists at Rady Children’s La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles who have been there selflessly every step of the way. Our next chapter begins now”, ends the text shared on both profiles.

At the end of the message, Jonas wrote a tribute to Mother’s Day and Priyanka. “Honey, you inspire me in every way, and you’re taking on this new role so easily and firmly. I’m so grateful to be on this journey with you. You’re already an amazing mother. Happy Mother’s Day. I love you.”

The actress also wrote a text for her husband. “Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and caregivers in my life and beyond. You guys make it look so easy. Thank you. Besides, there’s no one I’d rather do this with than you. Thank you for making me a mommy. Nick Jonas I love you,” he added.

The couple’s daughter was born on January 15, through surrogacy. In late April, the baby’s name was revealed. According to the birth certificate, released by the website TMZ, the newborn is named Malti Marie.

According to the website, “Malti” means small fragrant flower or moonlight, and comes from Sanskrit. She was born in January, through a surrogate. “We are delighted to confirm that we have welcomed a baby through surrogacy. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family,” the couple posted on social media.
