Digital influencer and drag queen Rita von Hunty, stage name of actor and professor Guilherme Terreri Lima Pereira, 31, became the target of criticism on social media after publishing a text in which she criticizes the speech of former president Lula (PT) made in launch of your pre-application.
The publication was made on Hunty’s Instagram profile on Sunday (8). In the text, she still defends a “radical vote in the first round”. The former president’s speech brought criticism to Bolsonaro and privatizations, and revealed the politician’s intention to unite Democrats. In addition, he denied that he has a desire for revenge for the processes that left him imprisoned between 2018 and 2019.
However, the speech did not please the drag queen, who identifies with the left in politics and often publishes content on the subject on her YouTube channel. “I am deeply saddened by how the scenario is building for institutional politics in Brazil,” she wrote in her Stories.
Then, she criticized the points raised by Lula in the speech, saying that the former president should have attacked economic and social agendas. She even suggested a “radical vote in the first round” to “show our refusal and dissatisfaction with this ticket”, referring to the ticket Lula and Alckmin (PSB).
“Even with very little expectation, I expected at least Lula’s dignity to commit to an agenda that would revoke (at least) Temer-Bolsonaro’s six-year neoliberal reforms. We didn’t even have that,” he wrote.
On social media, netizens criticized the stance of the influencer, who had her name among the most talked about topics on Twitter this Tuesday (10). “I love Rita, but even she makes mistakes. She did a disservice with her speech. A pity! The left needs to unite, this is the moment and if we let it go, it’s over!”, Wrote one.
“Dear Rita Von Hunty, I understand your stance and agree, but 2022 is not the year to take risks like that. It’s the year of a united front,” said another. “I like Rita Von Hunty but I think it is immensely irresponsible for someone with more than 1 million followers to advise against voting for Lula in the 1st round,” wrote a third.
