Iza declines invitation to record theme song for Globo soap opera

by

Despite having received the invitation, singer Iza, 31, chose not to record the opening theme song for the soap opera “Cara e Coragem”. Globo’s new plot will be included in the 7pm slot, and will replace “How Much More Life, Better!”, debuting at the end of the month.

According to the press office, the singer declined the invitation due to career commitments. “[Ela] decided not to record because he is in the studio finishing the album. The soap opera [também] is set to debut alongside the release of a new music video/single of hers,” the statement reads.

In addition, according to columnist Patrícia Kogut, from the newspaper O Globo, singer Emicida, 36, would also have declined the invitation to record “Vida Louca, Vida”. The reason would be political differences with Lobão, who signs the letter with Bernardo Vilhena.

Recently, Leopoldo Pacheco, 61, who barely left “Pantanal”, where he gave life to Antero Novaes, and is already preparing to debut as João Carlos in the new plot, had his first photo as the character revealed.

In the plot created and written by Claudia Souto, the actor will give way to Pat’s father, character of Paolla Oliveira, and husband of Nadir, played by Stella Maria Rodrigues. A tennis instructor and legit womanizer, he hides from everyone that he has another family.

Secretly, Joca, as he is known, has a romance with Olivia (Paula Braun), owner of the Vertical Dance Company. Together, they had a daughter, Lou (Victoria Bohn), a dancer with the company and Pat’s half-sister. The girl has a difficult relationship with her father and does not accept the fact of being passed over by him, to the detriment of the other family.
