Felipe Neto shows threats to his mother and goes to the police station: ‘No more living in fear’

by

Youtuber and influencer Felipe Neto, 34, denounced on social media some threats that his mother, Rosa, has received via WhatsApp. In a message he shared a screenshot of, one person says he intends to destroy her life at all costs. He also curses her and says that not even “your children will get you out of this”.

Annoyed, Neto says that this is not the first time something of this nature has happened. “Once again they sent heavy threats to my mother. We are already making the arrangements. We found out where it came from, and my mother is going to the police station,” he wrote on Instagram.

Neto reinforced that it has been three years living in the midst of threats. “Let’s go to the end this time. Enough of living only in fear. Let’s win”, he posted.

It is not new that Felipe Neto and his family have to live with online controversies and threats. In 2020, he was once again one of the most talked about topics on Twitter after being the target of fake news that accused him of encouraging pedophilia. A montage of a fake tweet that attributed to the influencer the phrase “child is like candy, I eat hidden” was being shared on different social networks.

Neto said it was a “disgusting lie” articulated by the extreme right to ruin its reputation. “All these negative posts are attacks orchestrated with the sole aim of destroying reputations, which proves how prone to hate, silencing and persecution are those involved,” he said at the time.

Several personalities such as actors Alexandre Nero and Patricia Pillar, presenter Luciano Huck and politicians such as Ciro Gomes (PDT) and Marcelo Freixo (PSOL) expressed their solidarity with the youtuber. The hashtag #JuntosComFelipeNeto was among the most talked about topics on Twitter throughout the day.

More recently, in December 2021, after mysterious posts on social media during Christmas celebrations, Neto stated that he needed some time off the internet, without explaining what the problem was that he was facing at the moment.

“I need everyone to respect and step away,” he said. He urged fans not to believe theories and stated that “things will settle down”.

The day before, the youtuber scared the followers by asking for forgiveness, saying that one day everything will be fine and then disappearing for a few hours from social networks, where he makes frequent posts and interacts with the public.
