The Cultural Center “Hellenic World” of the Foundation of the Hellenic World, will participate in the International Museum Day on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 with an original educational activity for adults and children aged 8 and over.
With a mini ipad and the experienced guidance of the Museum educators of the Cultural Center “Hellenic World”, visitors will have the opportunity to virtually tour the site of Ancient Olympia, to explore and get to know the most important monuments and sacred buildings. Through the virtual tour, the observation and the collection of information in the form of a questionnaire, the participants discover the history of the sanctuary, as they visit public buildings, such as the High School, Temples, the Stadium, but also city tributes, statues etc. .
The theme of the celebration of the International Museum Day 2022 is “The Power of Museums”. This year ‘s celebration focuses on the dynamic contribution of museums to three topical issues:
Sustainability
Innovation – new technologies – accessibility
Strengthening social cohesion through education
