Selena Gomez accused of mocking Justin Bieber’s wife video

Singer Selena Gomez, 29, has apologized after fans accused her of mocking model Hailey Bieber, 25, the wife of her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber, 28, on TikTok on TikTok earlier this week.

After raising eyebrows while posting a silent skincare tutorial similar to videos regularly shared by the model, Selena made it clear she wasn’t mocking Hailey in any way.

“That’s why I believe in taking care of your mental health. People have no idea what I did, but I’m really sorry. Zero bad intentions”, commented the singer on her TikTok, before deactivating the comments.

Fans of the Bieber couple were quick to lash out at the singer for sharing images of her skin care routine. Although Selena doesn’t mention Hailey, some netizens understood that she was an indirect to the singer’s wife because she rolled her eyes.

“It’s like a performative loser who blatantly gets away with bullying other women,” commented one netizen. While another wrote: “the way she squinted her eyes with every step”.

In 2019, Selena implored her fans to “stop tearing down other women” following the release of the song “Lose You To Love Me”. On the track, the singer – who dated Justin from 2010 to 2017, when he got back together with his now-wife Hailey – sings about being replaced in just two months.

Despite any heartache over the breakup, Selena defended the model from online hate.
