Influencer Thaynara OG says she studied for a film with Lilia Cabral: ‘I do my part’

Over the past seven years, influencer Thaynara OG has seen her life completely changed thanks to the internet. From leaving the routine of “concurseira lawyer” until the arrival of her 30 years, she says she had to learn to deal with the demands and pressure she receives, now as a public figure. “Even though my life is hectic, I don’t give up my therapy schedule,” she says.

The influencer from Maranhão says that, for some time now, she began to reflect on some issues that had hitherto been overlooked, such as the objectification of the (young) female body, that old pressure for the youth of the “kitten” woman. “It’s a charge, as if it’s absurd that you get old and your body changes”.

Thaynara also comments that this movement is also influenced by the ease with which aesthetic treatments and surgeries – often invasive – are presented. “People will always charge and pressure. What can change is how we will receive it”, completes the influencer, who in 2020 underwent a liposuction that did not go well.

Because of the complications, she was left between life and death in an Intensive Care Unit – and made news for it. Even with the pressure that fame brings, the content creator says that she sees the internet as a tool to unite Brazil and present the most diverse realities.

She says that when it appeared – on Snapchat, a social network with functions similar to Instagram Stories – most influencers were from the south-southeast axis. “I didn’t feel so represented… Today I realize that the internet has no borders, it really shows Brazil”, completes Thaynara, today with more than millions of followers, only on Instagram.

Thaynara reinforces that since the beginning of her work, she intended to show the state of Maranhão and its reality, demystifying prejudices and stereotypes. This was also one of the reasons for her to create São João da Thay, which returns on June 28, after a two-year break – due to the pandemic.

The party brings together influencers and the general public to celebrate the most important party in Maranhão and also present the beauty of the state to new visitors. “The São João period is perfect, all the ponds are full and there are all the folkloric performances”, he adds.

In addition to the party, the influencer prepares new projects – among them, a film in which she starred with Lilia Cabral and Sérgio Malheiros. She says she sought professional guidance and has been taking acting classes. “I do my part, I try to learn and always have an exchange”.
