Rafael Miguel’s girlfriend vents: ‘Mix of feelings’

Actor Rafael Miguel’s girlfriend, Isabela Tibcherani, used social media this Monday (16) to thank the messages of support after the arrest of her father, trader Paulo Cupertino Matias, suspected of murdering her boyfriend and his parents, in 2019.

“I was informed of what happened. I can’t say much about it now, but I want to thank you for all the messages of support. It’s a very big mix of feelings and now I need space”, he wrote in Instagram stories.

Cupertino was hiding in a hotel in the same region where he committed the crime, in the Pedreira neighborhood, south of São Paulo, and was located by Civil Police investigators after an anonymous tip. After the arrest, he was taken to the DHPP (Department of Homicide and Protection of the Person), in the central region of the city.

The family was shot dead in June 2019 while arriving at Isabela’s house, in the Pedreira neighborhood, in the south of São Paulo. Cupertino fled after the crime and was on the run for more than three years.

The crime would have been motivated by jealousy – a cousin of Rafael said at the funeral that the man is “extremely possessive” with his daughter.

In an interview at the time with journalist Reinaldo Gottino, from Record, the young woman stated that her father was very possessive: “My father has a possessive, unhealthy jealousy. and cook.”
