The BTS dominated the American Music Awards 2021 (American Music Awards), with their live performance and award in various categories.

The Silk Sonic duo, Bruno Mars and Anderson. Paak opened the night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with songs from the recently released album “An Evening With Silk Sonic”.

Before the show kicked off, Taylor Swift broke the record for most AMA’s in history by winning the Favorite Pop Artist of the Year award. The singer also won the Best Pop Album Award for “evermore” and now has 34 AMA Awards.

Prior to the award ceremony, Doja Cat and Meghan Thee Stallion won three awards. The host of the night Cardi B started with an enthusiastic introduction to the audience: “I will not lie, I am nervous, I tremble” she said about her debut as a presenter.

The audience around the stage wore coronavirus protection masks and the VIP guests who did not wear, kept the safe distances. THE

The first time a candidate, Olivia Rodrigo (in seven categories) sang “Traitor” from the SOUR album and played acoustic guitar.

Rodrigo also received the New Artist of the Year award.

“I am grateful to those who embraced my music,” said the 18-year-old singer and actress.

Jennifer Lopez starred in “On My Way” from the upcoming movie “Marry Me”, in which she starred with Owen Wilson.

Even the New Kids on the Block and New Edition joined forces and sang their greatest hits.

The South Korean supergroup, BTS, has won three awards, including the night’s top award, Favorite Artist of the Year. They also left with the Favorite Pop Duet or Group and Favorite Pop Song awards for their hit single “Butter”.

Receiving the Favorite Artist of the Year award, the head of BTS, RM stressed visibly excited: This is all a miracle. “Seriously, we will never take it for granted.”

Four years ago, we made our first live TV appearance on this AMA scene with “DNA”. “We were so excited and nervous then,” RM said. “It has been a long and amazing journey since then, but no one could ever bet we would be here to receive this award. Except for ARMY. “Seven boys from Korea, united by their love for music, have experienced the love and support of ARMY around the world,” RM said, referring to the K-pop band’s fans.

Unlike other awards, which are based on a jury decision by industry figures – American Music Awards nominees are selected solely on the basis of fan votes.
