On Sunday, May 22, the BBQ Stories travels to Epirus and specifically to the beautiful Zagorochoria. In a magical area with mountains, rivers and historic bridges, Alexander meets kind-hearted people to set up two more delicious bbqs.
After rafting on the river Voidomatis, the grill is set up in an impressive location and the experience in nature changes level. On the bridge of Klidonia, accompanied by true nature lovers, he cooks “Beef shoulder with mushrooms”.
Then, Alexander explores the paths in the picturesque Monodendri and meets a good friend for coffee and homemade pie. He does fly-fishing, before taking the road to Agios Minas, a forgotten but beautiful village of Zagori, and prepares on the bbq “Tomahawk steak with oatmeal, colorful cherry tomatoes and herbs”.
In Zagorochoria, one of the most picturesque places in Greece, every image is a postcard, every bite and a piece of tradition and every bbq another opportunity for enjoyable food and good company.
