The red Power Ranger was arrested for fraud

by

Actor Austin St. Arrested John, who played the red Power Ranger in the television series of the 90s, after a police raid on his home, while launching a major federal investigation against him.

According to TMZ, it turned out that behind the arrest was a huge indictment involving 18 people for fraud.

The indictment alleges that John was part of a scheme to defraud the Small Business Administration Payroll Protection Program, designed to help small businesses affected by COVID.

John reportedly took out $ 16 million in loans totaling $ 3.5 million, which he used for personal purchases rather than for his intended purpose. Even if they were used for the intended purpose, the federal authorities claim that he took them fraudulently.

He was convicted and faces up to 20 years in prison.

Austin St. John played Jason Lee Scott in “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers” in 1993. He left the show in his second season but returned from time to time.
