See who can get vaccinated against Covid-19

Vaccination against Covid at health posts in the country is currently available for people aged 5 years and over, according to the 13th edition of the National Operational Plan (PNO). What changes between age groups is the dose to be applied.

Children ages 5 to 11 can be vaccinated with the first and second doses of Pfizer vaccine.

Coronavac can be applied from the age of 6, with the exception of those who are immunocompromised.

The minimum interval between one dose and another in both cases is four weeks.

Adults can receive the two available doses of Coronavac, AstraZeneca and Pfizer and the single dose of Janssen.

The booster dose (popularly called the 3rd dose) can also be given to people aged 18 or over.

The Ministry of Health recommended in May this year that people aged 60 and over take the second booster dose, or 4th dose, as it is known.

The state and municipal health secretariats are responsible for the vaccination schedules and for defining the vaccination sites, so the dates and schedule may change from city to city. It is important to consult the guidelines given by the local management.

In the state of São Paulo, for example, the second booster dose has been available since April 5th for people aged 60 and over.

In São Paulo, children aged between 12 and 17 who took the second dose at least four months ago can receive a booster dose.

Private clinics in the city of São Paulo began to assemble lists for the application of vaccines against Covid-19.

The clinics started to receive the imported AstraZeneca immunizer this Monday (30). The price of the application of the dose must vary between R$ 300 and R$ 350, according to ABCvac (Brazilian Association of Vaccine Clinics).

According to ABCVac, the vaccine from the private network is the same as that applied to the public, having been imported directly from the manufacturer — only the packaging is different.
