Speaking on the show “From Six”, the professor of Hygiene & Epidemiology at EKPA stressed that “the estimate is that by September we will have de-escalation”.
Speaking on the issue of the necessity of the fourth dose of the coronavirus vaccine, Mr. Majorkinis stressed that “The general population does not need the fourth dose”. And as he characteristically said, the elderly and those who have health problems should do it. As for the general population “the benefit from the fourth dose is not great”.
Given that the general population is skeptical of the different announcements of infectious disease specialists about the necessity or not of the boosting dose of the vaccine, the professor of Hygiene & Epidemiology revealed that around 3,000 citizens per day they go (s.s. to the vaccination centers) to be vaccinated with a fourth dose.
Answering about whether he will do the fourth installment stated that as long as he has no health problem will not do it while he will change his mind in case the recommendation of the Committee of Experts differs.
Referring to the use of a mask, he stressed that there is no reason to go back, recommending that people use it depending on the situation in which they are and the space in which they move.
