Tzanakis on SKAI: Over 50,000 actual cases

The professor explained that the peak will be prolonged and will last throughout July

In more than 50,000 per day the actual cases of coronavirus in our country are calculated, as estimated by the Professor of Pulmonology NIkos Tzanakis speaking on SKAI and on the “Today” show.

“In reality, there are many more cases than are reported,” the professor emphasized. “I think it’s over 50,000 a day,” he added.

As for the climax in the number of infections, he did not rule out the possibility she should come even next week. “We are very close to the peak, where on average we might see 30,000 cases a day.” He explained that the peak will be prolonged and will last throughout July.

For her administration of 4th dose he reiterated that the recommendation is strong for those over 60, while for people aged 50 to 60 he said they should discuss the issue with their doctor because it depends on their health status.

Asked about a possible reinstatement of the measure mandatory use of the mask, expressed his opposition by replying: “There is no need to enforce the use of the mask. Anyone who doesn’t feel safe should wear their mask. Let everyone think about the individual responsibility, which to a certain extent is also collective, in order to protect their relatives”.
