Brazil recorded 271 deaths from Covid, this Tuesday (2) and reached 679,063 lives lost since the beginning of the pandemic.
The country also recorded 33,485 cases of the disease and already has 33,890,290 infections by Sars-CoV-2.

The moving average of cases remains in decline. With a 39% reduction from two weeks ago, it now stands at 32,812 infections per day.

In all, 179,931,985 people received at least the first dose of a vaccine against Covid in Brazil. Added to the single doses of Janssen’s Covid vaccine, there are already 169,113,500 people with both doses or with one dose of Janssen vaccine.

Thus, the country already has 83.76% of the population with the 1st dose and 78.72% of Brazilians with two doses or one dose of the Janssen vaccine.

With the expansion of the age group that can receive the vaccine against Covid, the consortium now presents the population from 3 to 11 years old immunized. In this range, the partially immunized share (with only the first dose of vaccine received) is 50.71% and that which received the second dose is 32.6%.
Even those who received both doses or one dose of the Janssen vaccine should maintain basic care, such as wearing a mask and social distancing, say experts.
