Brazil recorded, this Monday (24), 33 deaths from Covid and 4,063 cases of the disease. As a result, the country has lost 687,713 lives and 34,834,815 people infected with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The moving average of deaths is now 60 per day, down 13% from two weeks ago, indicating stability. The moving average of cases is at 5,515 per day — up 2% over the same period.

Stability is observed when there is a variation of up to 15%, up or down, in 14 days.

The country’s data, collected until 8 pm, are the result of collaboration between SheetUOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo and G1 to gather and publish figures related to the coronavirus pandemic.

In all, 181,926,726 people received at least the first dose of a vaccine against Covid in Brazil. Adding the single doses of Janssen vaccine, there are 171,339,847 people with both doses or with one dose of Janssen vaccine.

Thus, the country already has 84.68% of the population with the 1st dose and 79.76% of Brazilians with two doses or one dose of the Janssen vaccine.

To date, 104,960,456 people have taken the third dose, and 34,579,060 the fourth.

The information is collected by the consortium of press vehicles daily with the State Health Departments. The initiative by the consortium of press vehicles occurred in response to the attitudes of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government, which threatened to withhold data, delayed newsletters about the disease and took information from the air, with the interruption of the disclosure of the totals of cases and deaths.
