Actor Jason Momoa, aka Aquaman, is one of the international celebrities who declared his support for the presidential candidate Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) in these elections. He shared on Sunday (23) on Instagram stories the headline of a report in English.

“Lula extends advantage over Bolsonaro in Sunday’s vote”, reads the headline of a newspaper with a photo of the PT member at a rally. The actor captioned the post with the candidate’s name and several hearts.

Before Momoa, other Hollywood stars defended Lula’s victory in the elections. Actor Mark Ruffalo, 54, shared on social media the link to the candidate’s live on September 26 and asked his followers to watch “the words of many brave Brazilian defenders of democracy and the planet”.

In June, Ruffalo shared on Twitter a photo of a truck with the image of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and the message asking “not to trust Bolsonaro”. In the publication, he marked the president of the United States, Joe Biden, who would meet with the Brazilian.

In September, Pink Floyd founder Roger Water, who was touring Brazil, shared a message of support for Lula two minutes before the deadline that banned any political act after 10pm. “It’s 9:58. We’ve been told we can’t talk about the election after 10 pm. It’s law. We have 30 seconds. This is our last chance to resist fascism before Sunday. Not him!” . As a recap of what had happened in other cities, the audience was divided between boos and applause.

“We must unite in solidarity with everyone in Brazil, as we hope that the majority of people believe in democracy, the rule of law and human rights”, says Roger Waters, who defends the vote for Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT). “We want to show our absolute disdain for neo-fascists like Bolsonaro.”
