Brazil recorded, this Monday (31), 50 deaths from Covid and 3,731 cases of the disease. With this, the country reaches 688,205 lives lost and 34,870,394 infected by Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic.

The moving average of deaths is now 70 per day, up 34.61% compared to two weeks ago. The moving average of cases is at 5,083 per day – up 18.56% in the same period.

Acre, Alagoas, Maranhão, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraíba and Santa Catarina did not record any deaths. In Sergipe, there were no new infections and no deaths.

The country’s data, collected until 8 pm, are the result of collaboration between SheetUOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo and G1 to gather and publish figures related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The information is collected by the consortium of press vehicles daily with the State Health Departments.

Espírito Santo and Piauí did not update any information this Monday, as well as Acre, which does so only on Friday.

In all, 182,069,560 people received at least the first dose of a vaccine against Covid in Brazil. Adding the single doses of Janssen vaccine, there are 171,519,838 people with both doses or one dose of Janssen vaccine.

Thus, the country already has 84.75% of the population with the 1st dose and 79.84% of Brazilians with two doses or one dose of the Janssen vaccine.

To date, 105,070,501 people have taken the third dose, and 34,856,777 the fourth.

Paraná did not update the vaccine data.

The initiative of the consortium of press vehicles occurred in response to the attitudes of the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government, which threatened to withhold data, delayed newsletters about the disease and took information from the air, with the interruption of the disclosure of the totals of cases and deaths.
