Blockades affect the Anhanguera, Bandeirantes, Castello and Raposo highways

Groups that support President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) block five sections of the Anhanguera and Bandeirantes highways, in the interior of São Paulo, causing 37.7 km of congestion in the early evening of Monday (31), around 7:30 pm.

According to a bulletin sent at 6:50 pm by CCR Autoban, the concessionaire responsible for the highways, there are traffic jams in the regions of Campinas, Limeira, Jundiaí and Hortolândia.

At km 148 of Anhanguera (SP-330), in Limeira, the north and south lanes are blocked, generating congestion on the north lane (inland direction) between km 142 and km 148, and on the south lane (capital direction) between km 153 and km 148. The act began at 12:41.

At km 104 of the highway, in Campinas, the south lane has two blocked lanes and one free, with congestion from km 108 to km 104. The protest started around 4 pm. Also in Campinas, at km 99 there is a traffic jam of 200 meters.

Still in Anhanguera, at km 53, in Jundiaí, the north and south lanes were blocked at around 5 pm by protesters. There are traffic jams from km 57 to km 53, on the south lane, and from km 49 to km 53, on the north lane.

At around 9 pm, dozens of trucks were stopped, completely blocking the lane towards the interior of Anhanguera, at km 50. and for a small stretch.

Further on, the waterfront was also blocked. The trucks were all off and the lights were off, with drivers gathered in some spots. A man who appeared to be part of the group of protesters was guiding the arriving drivers: “There’s no time to release, people. It’s a protest.”

At km 73 of the highway, in Louveira, the south lane (capital direction) was blocked at around 18:20, with traffic stopped from km 75 to km 73.

At km 107 of Bandeirantes (SP-348), in Hortolândia, there are blocks on the north and south lanes that started at 4:45 pm, causing congestion from km 111 to km 107 on the south lane and from km 100 to km 107 on the north lane.

At km 116, in Nova Odessa, the south and north lanes are blocked by protesters, causing a 500-meter traffic jam on the south lane and 1 km on the north lane.

In the early afternoon, the PRF (Federal Highway Police) had registered 140 points of blockages or agglomerations on roads in 18 states and the Federal District.

Castello-Raposo

Bulletin released at 8:19 pm by CCR ViaOeste, the concessionaire that manages the Castello Branco-Raposo Tavares system, pointed to blockages at four points on the highways.

At km 101 of Raposo (SP-270), in the region of Sorocaba, protesters blocked both directions. At 7:30 pm, there were 500 meters of congestion on the east lane (capital direction) and 3 km inland.

The driver traveling towards the capital has the option of two detours along the urban road: at km 104 and at km 102 of Raposo Tavares. In the interior direction, there is a detour at km 95, also along the urban road.

At km 52 of the Castello-Branco highway, in Araçariguama, protesters blocked both directions. At 7:30 pm, there were 3 km of queue in each direction of the highway.

At km 26, in the Barueri region, the lane is partially blocked in the interior direction. Traffic goes in the left lane, and congestion reaches 3 km.

At km 19+700, in the Osasco region, the lane is completely blocked in the interior direction, with 1 km of congestion. According to CCR ViaOeste, there is no record of blockages on RodoAnel.
