Podcast: the advance of Covid and the problems that Lula will face in the Ministry of Health

Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) returned this week to make it mandatory to use masks on planes and airports. The measure is a response to the increase in cases of Covid-19 in the country – which may become even more pronounced with the arrival of the end of year festivities.

This new wave of the disease must be one of the challenges that the new government of Luis Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) must face in the area of health, but not the only one.

In addition to a scenario of insufficient vaccination coverage of various immunizers, starting next year the Unified Health System may have the lowest budget in ten years – with a drop of almost R$ 23 billion compared to 2022, discounting expenses with the pandemic.

At Breakfast this Friday (25th), the reporter from Sheet Cláudia Collucci explains the difficulties in controlling Covid in the next government, analyzes the vaccination scenario in the country and discusses issues involving the SUS.

The audio program is published on Spotify, streaming service partner of Sheet in the initiative and which specializes in music, podcast and video. You can listen to the episode by clicking above. To access the application, just register for free.
