The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, Ambassador Burak Akçapar, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, Konstantinos Fragogiannis, met in Istanbul on April 26, 2024 for the 6th round of discussions on the Joint Action Plan within the framework of the Positive Agenda between the two countries.

According to a joint statement, during the meeting there was a detailed overview of the numerous themes of the Positive Agenda in the areas of trade, economy, transport, education, technology, environment and health, as well as relations between the society of citizens. It was noted that many subjects have been successfully completed, while satisfactory progress has been achieved in many others.

Taking into account the significant progress made to date in this dynamic and ongoing process, the two sides agreed to explore additional thematic areas of cooperation under the Positive Agenda.

The two sides reaffirmed their common goal to provide, within the framework of the Joint Action Plan, specific deliverables for the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Mr. Mitsotakis to Turkey in May.
