“It seems to be moving in the wrong direction” the Ministry. of Health, he said in his announcement

The Panhellenic Medical Association (PIS) is sounding the alarm about the serious shortages of medicines expected in the new year worldwide, to the leadership of the Ministry of Health, which, as it says, “seems to be moving in the wrong direction”.

At a time when all states are preparing drug markets and the supply chain for rampant shortages caused by the pandemic and the reduction of production in countries such as India and China, “in Greece the leadership of the Ministry of Health does not give due importance to the repeated warnings of the PIS, but it also moves in the opposite direction, expanding vaccinations without the necessary prescription”, says the PIS.

He also speaks of “unscientific and extremely dangerous practice as the same indications do not apply to all citizens. And of course, only the doctor is able to assess and guide patients.”

The Panhellenic Medical Association asks the leadership of the Ministry of Health to “immediately adopt his proposals so that there is a timely saving and rational use of medicines, which should be available to those patients who really need them and not to waste them with practices polypharmacy and their unscientific administration”.
