Sensitive and durable. Armored and unprotected. Mental health doesn’t just have one facet. From June 20-23, the SNF Nostos 2023 of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) at the SNFCC, will attempt to analyze, discuss and exonerate every aspect of it.

For four days information, dialogue and entertainment become one and confirm that the care of our inner world starts from outside.

The program includes the SNF Nostos Run, the SNF Dialogues and the SNF Nostos Conference, artistic events, but also powerful concert moments in and from the collaboration of SNF Nostos with Release Athens.

On the first day of the SNF Nostos Conference, the SNF Dialogues, in the framework of a dynamic partnership with the SNF Agora Institute of Johns Hopkins University, welcome recognized industry experts and delve into this critical and demanding topic.

The SNF Dialogues are edited and coordinated by Anna-Kynthia Bousdoukou, managing director of iMEdD, executive director of “SNF Dialogues”, and journalist. They are implemented with the journalistic curation of the non-profit journalistic organization iMEdD.

Thinkers, researchers and activists from a wide range of disciplines will gather at the SNF Nostos Conference 2023 to discuss the progress of the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Initiative, and among others, topics such as loneliness and its effects on mental health, the role of art, technology and artificial intelligence, the importance of social structures, as well as the mental health of young people and vulnerable social groups.

In the event, the SNF Nostos Youth Advisory Committee has an active role, consisting of a group of young people from different countries, positions and perspectives. Free entry with online pre-registration. A first-come, first-served basis will be observed.

The SNF will host President Barack Obama at this year’s SNF Nostos Conference. Barack Obama returns for the second time to the stage of the Stavros Niarchos Hall of the National Opera, from where he spoke in 2016 during his last international visit as part of his administration.

At the SNF Nostos Conference, the former US president will discuss ways to strengthen democracy and the importance of supporting the next generation of leaders, along with SNF President Andreas Dracopoulos. The discussion will take place on June 22 at 17:30-18:15.

A priority order will be observed for its monitoring. Due to the great interest, the debate will be broadcast live inside and outside the SNFCC.

The beloved SNF Nostos Run evening race returns on June 22, as part of this year’s theme – after all, the positive effects of sports on mental health are well known.

The organizing supervision of the competition is carried out by AMKE “Renaissance and Progress” and the “Sports Excellence” department of the First Orthopedic Clinic of the School of Medicine of the University of Athens. More information will be announced soon.

-Release Athens X SNF Nostos

Rosalía, the ultimate pop icon of today, is coming to Athens for the first time, on the first day of Release Athens X SNF Nostos, with a desire to overcome every cultural and sonic border.

With her is Central Cee, the most famous British rapper. The unbeatable lineup also includes some of the most important representatives of electronic music, post-punk, reggae and many more artists. The concerts will be held at the Water Square and the SNFCC Clearing.

The SNF will proceed with additional donations of 500,000 euros which will bear the name SNF X Release Athens to non-profit organizations with the mission of strengthening mental health, within the broader theme of this year’s SNF Nostos dedicated to it.

Through the new interactive SNF Nostos App, which will be available soon, attendees will be able to network, participate in question-and-answer sessions with speakers, polls and open discussions where they can position themselves on a range of mental health issues. .
