The National Medicines Agency (EOF) warns that the product Jamila Slimming Pills which is marketed in Europe, therefore it is possible that it may also be marketed in Greece, as a food supplement, actually contains the pharmaceutical active substances sibutramine and diclofenac, the presence of which makes it an unapproved drug.

In particular, the medicinal substance sibutramine has been banned from the European market since January 2010, because it can cause serious side effects, especially cardiovascular diseases. Since the existence of sibutramine is not declared on the product, the product may be administered in cases where it is contraindicated or the product may interact with co-administered drugs, which makes uncontrolled use dangerous to the health of the user.

The attention of consumers is drawn, so that in case the products come into their possession, they should not use them and immediately inform the EOF. The above notification is made after informing the competent Belgian authorities through the Agri-Food Fraud Network. It is pointed out that the purchase of EOF products from unreliable sources, such as the internet, may endanger the health of the consumer.
